Wednesday webinar at one: What is quality? (Fully Booked)
Wed 17 Oct 18 at Online,

What is a quality equity factor? Unlike standard factors, such as value, momentum, and size, quality lacks a commonly accepted definition.

Vitali Kalesnik, Partner at Research Affiliates, co-authored the paper, What is quality?, which assessed each of the components proposed as definitions to determine which, if any, is a reliable source of return premium. The assessment used the following criteria:

  • Degree of exploration in academic literature
  • Robustness to perturbation in definition
  • Robustness across geographic regions

By listening to this session you will be able to:

  • Identify the various definitions of quality
  • Discover which positive quality measures are robust indicators of higher expected returns
