From ESG to impact: What it means for investing, measurement and reporting (breakfast event) (Fully Booked)
Thu 16 May 19 at Brand Exchange, London

Sustainable investing has now gone mainstream with increasing recognition of the importance of incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in the decision-making progress. Empirical evidence is mounting that ESG is a source of alpha, both from a risk mitigation and opportunity identification side. The investment community is now grappling with the concept of “impact.”

Traditionally the domain of impact investing, investors in the public and private equity and debt markets are now recognising the importance of evaluating the positive and negative impacts of a company’s products and services and what this means for the aggregate impact of their portfolios. Many are viewing impact through the lens of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

To explore the relationship between ESG and impact in terms of investing, measurement, and reporting, Professor Robert G. Eccles of the Said Business School of Oxford University will have a fireside chat interview with Clara Barby, CEO of the Impact Management Project.
