Working in ESG (Fully Booked)
Tue 26 Feb 19 at Brand Exchange, London

Responsible investing, SRI, ESG, impact investing? Whatever you call it, there is no doubt that this is a fast-evolving area within the investment industry and one that can increasingly offer CFA members an exciting and rewarding career path.

Over 1,900 firms, comprising asset owners, investment managers and service companies, who own, manage and represent over US$ 80 trillion of AUM globally have already signed up to the UN Principles of Responsible Investing and this number continues to grow.

In its 2017 report on the Future State of the Investment Profession the CFA Institute found 73% of investment leaders expect ESG factors will become more influential over the next five years. And indeed, in its 2018 annual report the UN PRI reports that 86% of asset owners consider responsible investment in selection or monitoring for indirectly held assets.

Elena Koycheva, leader of the CFA UK’s Career Opportunities Working Group, will moderate a panel discussion with ESG specialists to discuss the evolutions in this field, their career paths, their motivations, skills and the opportunities they see for careers in the area.
