Litigation funding: The alternative asset class? (Fully Booked)
Sun 14 Jun 15 at Mishcon de Reya, London

The demand for alternative asset classes for fund managers that are non-correlative to financial markets and the increasing interest from major corporates for alternative funding arrangements for commercial litigation disputes has resulted in an increasing interest in the litigation funding market by both potential investors and claimants.

At this event from CFA UK's Legal Issues Special Interest Group, a panel of experts will provide an overview of litigation funding as an asset class including information on the economics and the returns. The panelists will also provide an overview of the current litigation funding environment, funding structures, insurance and regulatory issues, as well as unique insights from one of the leading Litigation Funders in the UK market.

The panel will be opened and moderated by Andrew Rimmington, Partner, Mishcon de Reya. The other panelists are:
  • Neil Purslow, Chief Investment Officer, Therium Capital Management Limited
  • Matthew Williams, Head Of AmTrust Law, AmTrust Financial Services
  • Rowena Herdman-Smith, Corporate Litigation Partner, Mishcon de Reya
  • Eve Ellis, Funds and Financial Services Partner, Mishcon de Reya
