Becoming a member of CFA UK demonstrates your commitment to the investment profession
and to the highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour. We have four different
membership categories, tailored to suit your experience and circumstances.

The four different membership categories are:
regular, affiliate, CFA candidate and IMC

IMC membership

This membership is suitable for individuals who have passed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
CFA Candidate membership

This membership is suitable for individuals who are enrolled on the CFA Program®, with benefits designed to support candidates during their studies.

Regular membership

If you have at least four years of relevant work experience and have achieved CFA Level I (or passed the self-administered Standards of Practice examination), you can apply via CFA Institute to become a regular member of both CFA UK and CFA Institute.

Affiliate membership

If you have a minimum of one years relevant work experience, you can apply via CFA Institute to become an affiliate member of both CFA UK and CFA Institute.
